I was going to make soup with these yummy ingredients but decided to make mashed potatoes instead. So, rather than adding additional liquid for soup, I left the concoction thick and served it on plates instead of in bowls.

I so enjoy eating “biblically” that I spent years in pursuit of “biblical” cosmetics--mostly without success. Then I discovered a book that changed everything: Beauty Secrets of the Bible by Ginger Garrett (Thomas Nelson). I was thrilled to learn easy, effective ways of using God’s inexpensive, natural ingredients that were (mostly) already in my pantry. I asked Pastor Bill Beyer to write a guest blog on exercise, since he recently adopted a new fitness focus similar to my 7 Reasons to Quit Your Gym. CrossFit is a whole body workout that requires little to no fitness equipment. I like their philosophy that “Fitness is the ability to do real work,” which is why I pair exercise with faith. The best exercise for each of us is that which best equips us for the tasks God has set forth for us. I hope you find his story as inspiring as I do!
